Roundel

Blue roundel bordered yellow with three yellow crowns, two and one. The crowns are here much more stylized then in the flags and Coats-of-arms - no doubt to facilitate easier application to various surfaces. As I have recently reported on photos in the military ceremonial books we were able to see that this marking is not only the aircraft marking, but also military symbol used on other vehicles - submarine was on the photo, but probably on ships and land-vehicles, too.

1937-1940 Roundel

In 1937 it was a blue circle with thre crowns in yellow. The crowns had black outlines.

At the start in 1927 the roundel was a white circle vith three crowns in black.
